About Me
My mission is to help build visionary companies and I’ve always believed that technology is the greatest differentiator in business. To that end, I founded Outstand Media. Outstand is developing a personalized media content aggregator and sharing tool. The Company is also a proud investor in Sexy Politics, an interactive media company based in Santa Monica, CA, and Optoro, an e-commerce business based in Lanham, MD (near Washington, DC). Outstand pursues relationships with entrepreneurs, advisors, and investors in the internet and media spaces. The Company is interested in businesses driven by web technologies that challenge existing competitive landscapes, accelerate innovation, and enhance quality of life. Prior to founding Outstand Media, I worked in private equity, investment banking, commercial real estate, and at two start up companies – Vineyard Vines and Bear Naked. The two start-ups confirmed my passion for entrepreneurship. I attended Brown University where I served as defensive captain of the football team and helped earn 4th place in the school’s business plan competition.

Outstand Media invested in Optoro, an e-commerce company based in Lanham, MD (near Washington, DC). The Company partners with major retailers and manufacturers nationwide to help them re-market overstock and returned goods using proprietary multi-channel online selling strategies and software. Optoro sells its merchandise through its e-commerce website and major online marketplaces, including Amazon, Overstock, multiple eBay-hosted sites and various comparison shopping sites. Optoro’s mission is maximizing asset recovery of overstock and returned goods by creating optimally efficient processes and systems through its ability to design and implement complex marketing algorithms and software solutions. Outstand Media has full confidence in Optoro and it’s management team, including founders Tobin Moore and Justin Lesher, Adam Vitarello, the whiz kid responsible for the Company’s proprietary technology, and Justin Vitarello, the constant motor driving Optoro’s business development efforts.

Outstand Media invested in SexyPolitics.com which inspires users to learn about political candidates, issues, and current events through interactive quizzes that can also be played on MySpace. Outstand is a firm believer in Sexy Politics and its co-creators, including seasoned serial entrepreneur Noel Brohner, new media phenom Joe Sabia, and precocious budding entrepreneur Matt Wiggins. Noel’s wisdom combined with Joe and Wigs’ new media prowess makes for a winning team and viral product, particularly given the growing market for “edutainment,” the proliferation of interactive content and new media distribution vehicles, and the timing of the site’s launch relative to the election.
